Hypocrite

ellen_111207.jpg Hypocrite Defined
A person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

Ellen DeGeneres has been getting a lot of flack lately due to her decision to cross picket lines and return to work after only one day of the writer's strike. Unsurprisingly, the WGA is suggesting that maybe she might be kind of a, you know, hypocrite.

"We find it sad that Ellen spent an entire week crying and fighting for a dog that she gave away, yet she couldn't even stand by writers for more than one day - writers who have helped make her extremely successful," the WGAE statement continued. "We ask Ellen to cease doing shows immediately. She should stand by all writers and help us bring this strike to a quick conclusion. We owe that to the thousands of people who are caught in the middle."

What? Ellen's got priorities just like everybody else. Hers just happen to be, "If it don't crap on the floor, then I don't give a crap." Maybe if someone were threatening to take dogs away from the children of her writers -- then maybe Ellen would care. But food, shelter and clothing? Please. Don't waste Ellen's time with such nonsense.

I have to admit I'm torn about this...even though it's great to see writers supported by casts...what about the other crew? The grips and costume/makeup folk that are barely squeeking by who get laid off when productions are halted. At least she's keeping those folk employed

I have another word for this dude: SCAB

What has America come too? When you don't even have a decent mob-controlled union to crack some skulls.
