Preggers

ellefanning.jpgFed up after years of being overshadowed by her older sister, Dakota, Elle Fanning -- star of I Am Sam, Deja Vu, and Babel -- has reportedly taken a page out of the Spears' family playbook and gotten herself knocked up.

Fanning, who is nine years old, and her mother confirmed the pregnancy to OK! magazine, saying she was 11 weeks along and the father is Elle's longtime boyfriend Pete "Petey" Stingleton (pictured). Stingleton's mother confirmed it to TMZ.com. Fanning told the magazine that after confirming the pregnancy with a home test and a subsequent doctor's visit, she told only one friend - then waited two weeks before telling anybody else, including her parents. She has three movie projects in the can, and two in production -- there is no word on how her pregnancy will affect the parts. Elle tells People magazine:

"I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision," she told the magazine. "Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me."

A rep for Fanning was not immediately available for comment.

How can one be pregnant at nine years? Do females in this country become sexually receptive that early (I'm not an American, btw)?

Okay, the story was funny but EH's comment made me snort soda all over the screen....

When I read this this AM, I was waiting to see how long it would take for some poor schmoe to think it was real. Not that it's impossible, unfortunately.

To quote the late, great Bill Hicks, this is my take on having babies: "Would you people stop rutting until we figure out this air/water deal?"

Leave Elle Fanning alone! Why won't you people leave her alone! She's had to deal with Sean Penn being retarded, and her sister overshadowing her, and so much stress! LEAVE ELLE ALONE! Or else you'll have to deal with me!

Can I have my own TV show now?

I know this was all in fun (ie, I get the joke), but I have to admit the post made me very, very sad. Poor little rich girls...
