I got nothing. You try to come up with something mean-spirited or snarky to say about Frances Bean Cobain when she appears in a photo spread like this -- she looks positively dignified. She's not exposing too much of herself. She doesn't look trampy. Or drugged out. She just looks like a kid playing dress up for a high-profile cover shoot. She's a little packet of adorable, I tell you. And to turn out as well as she has with that Mom? And no father? She must have had one hell of a decent nanny.

She didn't have one hell of a nanny. She's a testament to the truth about Courtney, which is that the media spins a lot of BS about her. While she has had drug problems, and has suffered from depression, she's a decent person, smart woman, and a good mom. She's outspoken, and her rep has paid dearly for that. But the Courtney character is obviously not the Courtney person, or else FBC wouldn't be such a solid kiddo.
That, or, you know... Because it was her grandmother that mostly raised her. But I'm sure Courtney did a bang-up job those couple of times she was sober.

What magazine is carrying this artless, boring spread? Not one of those costumes is memorable. I gather they were going for Scarlett, Evita, & Kathy Valentine for outfit inspiration. Are we sure that Kurt's the father, cuz this kid doesn't look a whole lot like him, poor witto ting. More like a young Roz from Frasier. Ye gods, is this what we have to look forward to 15 years down the line from Matilda Ledger?
