It's like my mom used to tell me, there's no better way of dealing with unsightly flab than just cinching the ever loving hell out of it. That's of course after you've spent a month chasing everything you eat with a couple of expertly placed fingers down the old esophagus. Because, you know a belt can only do so much.

Judging from the other pictures, I believe Janet is using her already-petite frame to her advantage with the Old Hollywood trick. Specifically: puffy skirt, puffy top, wee belt. does wonders for the waist. Then again, she rocked the '80's, so she would be well acquainted with the trick.
I think the header image was a lucky shot, though. She wouldnt' look that THAT thin in a full-frontal.
