Much love, Alanis. I've been crushing  on you a little since back in the "You Can't Do That On Television" days, but -- unless the cover art for your new albums is seriously ironic -- I gotta ask, what's up with the crotch shots? What happened to thanking clarity? And silence? And India?

You're supposed to be the antidote to the vagina-sells-but-who's-buying music industry, a mainstream pop star with a modicum of talent and credibility. And now you're selling us your nethers? Is this your way of saying that your new album is lacking? And that you're making up for it with a little gratuitous betwixt the legs?

Close the legs, Alanis. Put some pants on and go back to singing about serenity, OK? We get enough cooter from bad musicians, we don't need it from a decent one.
