Times, Katherine Heigl -- who won an Emmy for best supporting actress last year -- has decided to selflessly take her name out of contention this year, so as to give other actresses a fighting chance. She said:
"I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention. In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials."
Oh, cut the shit, Katherine: You just threw the entire "Grey's Anatomy" writing staff under the bus, you contemptible, narcissistic, delusional bitch. You know the saying, "Don't shit where you eat?" Well, you just took a huge, steaming dump on the "Grey's Anatomy" writers' table, and if there's any goddamn justice in the world, they are going to smear fecal matter all over you next season. I hope, in a symbolic act, they have an ambulance drive over you in the season opener, but that -- instead of dying -- you're forced to spend all 24 episodes in a hospital bed communicating by blinking while nurses "accidentally" spill bed pans on you.

Does she think that she's some Emmy-winning juggernaut, that she's guaranteed to win if she's in? It's not like she's a 5-time Emmy winner like Candace Bergen. She's not a John Larroquette, who won four times in a row and actually felt the need to withdraw his name from consideration. Maybe when she doesn't have half as many Emmys as Don Adams then she can talk about making way for other deserving actresses.

Sorry, I think Katherine Heigl is entitled to say whatever the fuck she wants. I'm happy that there's a woman in Hollywood who isn't afraid to say whatever she damn well pleases. She has every right to say that the writing on Grey's Anatomy blows, that the show blows, or that her character blows, (all of which I agree with) and if her bosses at GA don't like what she's saying, they can either fire her or go fuck themselves.
You're absolutely right. Katharine Heigl is entitled to say whatever she damn well pleases.
And we're all entitled to think she's a piece of shit for saying the assy, ungrateful things she says.
Likewise, the studio/television execs are entitled to never offer her fucking job again because she has a consistent history of biting the hand that feeds her.
Isn't it great how free will entitles us all to do and think and say whatever we want? Regardless, I'm sure Hei-GUHL will appreciate the steadfast support of fans such as yourself when she's living off "Grey's" syndication residuals.
